Welp, bad news on the Evoque paddles...
The Jaguar parts and tech guy called me and said the paddles do look similar, but they are different parts. One of them has the switch built into the paddle, and the other has the switch built into the column.
So the Evoque paddles will not work with the XKR (at least not without modification).
Back to square 1...
As for the XKR-S GT paddles, they said Jaguar would require a VIN before they would ship that part out. Anyone know someone with a XKR-S GT? Then we might be able to get a few out.

BTW...do you know if the F-Type paddles will work on our cars? I know they're plastic but still bronze will match my brake calipers.

Nope, I didn't ask about them. Do you know if they are the same as XKR except a different color? In that case, you could just remove and paint them yourself any color you want. I am not sure if they are the same.
I am hoping for something with a better feel than the plastic, so I didn't bother to ask.

Hi Guys any update on the aluminum paddles? I'm going with an Alcantara wheel and these would look great. Does this part number VPLVS0187CAY from the land Rover work on the XKR?
If you guys want XKRS-GT paddles my dealer can probably get a few as was willing to order the GT sway bar for me.

That part number does work on the XKR. That's the one I ordered for my Rover but did install it on my XKR to see if it works. Looks like they are reversible as the F-Type bronze paddles works on my Rover also.
I bought mine from a Rover/Jag UK dealer (Dan@Duckworth). Alot of time with the exchange rate, it is cheaper than here. He's very popular vendor on the Rover board. Not sure I can post his info here so if anyone want his info to compare pricing, IM me

From what I have read in Ghostrider's thread, the aluminum paddles do work and they are slightly larger than the stock ones. I emailed Mina a few months ago about making some carbon fiber ones and they said that is a good idea...but I haven't heard anything since.
The aluminum ones are pretty expensive for what they are, I think. Hopefully Mina will come up with something at a better price point. If they do, I'm in.

The aluminum ones are slightly larger which I prefer cuz you can then see it behind the wheel. Only thing I don't like the aluminum ones are they don't illuminate as the +/- are cutout. They are expensive. I bought 2 sets of the aluminum ones but couldn't justify both sets so I sold one sets to a member here on the board.
