That site sounds cheap at 450 but once you get ready to purchase it they add tax and 44.00 for shipping it comes out to 517, which is why I went to Terrys Jag. I hate sites that gouge you on shipping to make their product look cheaper.

Only ones I can spot in the UK are £300 (£360 with tax):

For those of you interested in custom aluminum paddles, would you prefer to assemble them yourself using your existing paddles (they would need to be taken apart) or would you prefer to buy them with new paddle mechanisms and already assembled? They are about $25 each from Jaguar.

I am hoping to have the first prototype today, fingers crossed. They will be approximately .25" wider, 1" longer on the bottom & 2" taller on top and a slight curve to follow the steering wheel.

So far I have 4 people interested. Hopefully when I post the pics, more will join in?

I would be interested. As far as the mechanism is concerned, I would like a firmer 'pull' on the switch. If the new mechanism would give it the firmer feel, I'd pay extra for the new mechanism.

That's an interesting idea. There are micro switches inside the paddles, which require little pressure to close, larger paddles may even make them even quicker, due to the increased leverage so perhaps a stiffer spring is the trick.

I may experiment with that as well.

They will be a lot less than that!

Keep in mind these are crude plastic prototypes. The finished product will be aluminum, probably anodized in red, may do black and silver too.

This is obviously someone taking advantage of this forum to access Jaguar owners and gouge them. Avoid this seller!
