Upgrades to a 07 XK

Upgrades to a 07 XK
My XK is beautiful so I don't plan on doing much to it. However and I'm considering a few basic things and wanted to know if any has made some modifications like these or have advice/recommendations:
- LED or Angel Eye fog lights vs the factory halogens down there
(3" White 40 SMD LED Halo Rim Angel Eye Projector Bumper Driving Fog Lights | eBay)
- Any sound system upgrade recommendations??
My rear speakers sound like they are barely working so I'm tempted to upgrade all of the speakers...the factory head unit is extremely integrated so I'm not sure about going down that road. Thoughts???

Ah, ok. Well then, some people have put a circular CCFL light around their grill growlers, and door bottom logo puddle lamps. I've also seen LED strips put inside the headlight covers.
I've not done the Fog Lamp HALO deal on My XKR, but if the lamp looks about the same, I'm sure you could always MAKE it fit. It all depends on how much you want to work at it. I can't see how it'd be THAT difficult however.
Give it a shot, there's not much to lose other than a few bucks and a few hours. Let us know how it turns out.

Instead of those fog lamp replacements, for a bit more you might be interested in these:
http://www.adamesh.co.uk/jaguar-xk-l...e-1-4852-p.asp
I bought a set last year but didn't have time to install them. Remembered them a couple of days ago when I replaced the LF wheel well liner (had a big hole in it since I got it), and could see the existing fog lamp.
Since these are a combo fog and DRL, I need to find an electrical source that is live while the ignition is 'on' for the DRL halo ring (the fog lamp part runs from the existing fog lamp connector (plug and play)).
What sound system do you currently have? I have the 'premium' Alpine version, and when I first tried it when I got the car two years ago, I thought it sounded pretty mediocre and never turned it on again, until a week ago. I've been enjoying the exhaust 'tune' with the top down.
Anyway, a week ago I was on a long drive at night (can't see the cops or wildlife so I was behaving myself) so I turned on the sound system with CDs that were still in there, and it still sounded poor. So with nothing better to do, I dug into the audio settings, and found things were way out of wack. Cranked up the sub, adjusted the base and treble, and primarily the sound 'focus' (it was focused on the middle of the rear seat!). Moved the focus to my driver's seat, and it made a BIG difference. Maybe not audio nervana, but very listenable, accompanying me all the way home.

Of course, ease-of-installation from a well thought-out design could be the difference, for Jaguar Specific installs.

I may consider the wheels AND exhaust but wanted to take small steps first. I changed out all of my interior bulbs for LEDs so it has a slightly more crisp look at night. I also order the logo puddle lights that go on the doors (seems like a cool touch and super inexpensive).

Nice and shiny!
The first upgrade you definitely need is Steve's (forum member WhiteXKR) remote convertible top controller,
I bought one before my car was even delivered, and its the BEST upgrade you can do to any XK / XKR convertible.
Check out his web site, and order one today!

Be sure to include the rear quarter window control as well, you'll love it!

I would go with a mesh OEM upper grill, remove the fuse for the power antenna, and if you want to spend a few more bucks, paint the wheels a dark gun metal color or similar.
Another route would be chrome side view mirrors, and side vents. Depends on the over all look you are going for.

Don't want dark wheels (I'm more of a fan of a factory look or polished metal).
I ordered the chrome side vents already but the chrome mirrors feel like over-kill for me.
Thanks for your recommendations!!

I'm definitely thinking about the mesh grill...I think I'll take your advice on the antenna (I thought that it seemed a bit antiquated to have a powered metal antenna pop up).

You could also paint the wheels a "hyper silver" or something named similar that looks near polished. Very sharp.
