Vacuum leak was larger than I first thought

Personally I would prolly just buy the replacement part if mine gave out as my car is now 13 years old and once replaced with OEM, should be good for another 13, but have no issue with this type of repair.

Just don't start complaining about Jaguars depreciation when it come time to sell it. No-one will buy something that has been hacked unless it is very cheap. I would imagine if the previous owner thought that hoses are to expensive to replace then I could pretty much guarantee that servicing has been skimped on or not done at all. Personally I would not take a hacked car as a gift let alone pay actual money for it. The hose is maybe $120 just replace it and be done with it.

Besides, some OEM parts (example: full load breather pipe) are not even available anymore... anywhere! Its good to see innovative solutions like this, considering some of these cheap plastic parts also may not be available in the future.
But then again, I have zip ties holding all my injector connectors in place. Gives it that real 'jaguar' touch.
