Which vacuum pump are you using for oil changes?

I am about to invest in one and do my first (at home on this car) oil change. Would like to get a good-performing pump but have never owned one. I have a shop vac I suppose I could rig up to do the job, but that might be messy. Better to get the right tool for the job.

Was getting my oil changes through Jaguar since purchase over 10 years ago for convenience. All were done by the suction method. My very last change a few months ago was done through drain plug. Go figure! I guess it does get all the stuff out that remains on the bottom of the pan. The days of changing my oil myself are far gone. I'm an old timer! lol Convenience is what I want and pay for!

Is there an accurate method (via OBD scanner?) that can measure the amount of oil that is actually in the sump of our cars rather than that instrument gauge? I remember the service writer using a scanner on my car which read somewhat under full while the gauge read full. Any feedback on this? Thanks.

I was considering pushing a speedometer cable or similar down the oil extraction chute. But I still crawl under to drain/fill and recalibrate.
Thought I was spry until I slipped in the driveway and broke 8 ribs!

Great bit of kit, I would change the plastic hoses, and clamps and make up reducers for the suction extraction for Brake calliper header, Engine oil, and rear diff extractions.
Transmission filling is easier too.
Chinese (isn't everything) under many brand name, in all the usual online out lets.

I use a turkey baster to do that, but I'm sure this pump would do a better job as the small vacuum tube could get more fluid, but it's a bit more time consuming to do the prep compared to the turkey baster.

A question for the Mityvac 7201 users.
Do you clean it out after use and if so, what technique/product do you use?
I've just purchased a Mityvac 7201 as I didn't relish removing the enormous undertray (attached with 22 bolts) from my F-Pace again. Rather disappointed to read the instruction:
Rinse out the reservoir tank with clean solvent or engine degreaser. Allow it to dry thoroughly.
I appreciate the convenience of not having to remove the undertray and being able to carry out an oil change entirely from the top of the engine but the subsequent Mityvac 7201 cleanup is likely to take longer than removing the undertray. More so with the XK which has a much smaller undertray with less fixings.
