As you know, there's no 'vanity' plates in the UK - you can only have a plate that was once issued by DVLA in the usual way. I was delighted that my car came with the plate it did. A previous owner must have paid a few bob for it. The car was 'born' GK59 UKD. The second owner changed it to GC05 LFC (their initials I suppose), restoring the original when they sold the car - and the third owner put this plate on.
If I were going to spring for a personalized plate, I'd want something completely forgettable. Or at least hard to remember. White letters and numbers on a white background would be nice.

Luv says Something Completely Forgettable..... as in nobody will actually know what it is. 18108I08 or whatever isn't easy to distinguish and not easily remembered. Think Passing a Cop on a Freeway, by a lot.
