You're in trouble now , hahaha. If you are really interested do a check on the seller and get as much info on them as you can. Just watch out for a scam. If it is legal put in a bid but if you are really interested buy a plane ticket and arrange for a feel and touch visit. You can also see if there is a Jaguar dealership near and see if you can pay to get a PPI. Maybe a member of the form lives in the area and will take a look for you or even can find out who owned the car. Good luck

I agree 100% about arrange for a feel and touch. You are not buying a Toyota Camry here! Better be safe than sorry. It's a Jaguar and it's not brand new either! Check it out and good luck.

Thanks for the encouragement guys!
Looked at more pictures on the web, not sure if I'm in love with the burgundy top (it looked black in the first pictures).
I submitted an offer, contingent on passing a buyer paid PPI with a Jaguar dealer, so we'll see what happens.
In the mean time, I need to work on my speech to the wife, in case the offer is accepted!

Can stop writing that speech now, the seller took an offer, but not mine.

Hows that saying go , you snooze , you lose. OK don't worry there is one out there with your name on it. Write the speech and sell your case that way you won't have anything holding you back when the next one comes up. Now that you tasted the thrill of the hunt it is time to make a kill. Good luck and good hunting

Sorry for your disappointment. Just be aware that there are always more buyers (even for a Jag) in that price range, so you might need to move somewhat faster the next time. If you were spending $45-$50 big ones, you have a little more negotiation time. Good luck and I'm sure you'll find another one.

There are a lot more places to look than eBay. Autotrader, Cars.com, even Carfax.com. Many more besides those also.

Yup, you're right. Found my current XK on CarGurus.com.
And jagtoes is right, there is an 'R' one out there with my name on it, and this one wasn't it (like I said, I wasn't in love with the burgundy top).
