Welcome to the Forum. Your Public Profile shows that you're in Canada and have a 2007 XK convertible.

It appears that you have only one Smartkey. I hope it's an original that still functions perfectly - it unlocks and locks the doors, enables the engine to start and stop by pushing the red button on the dash, fits in the dock in the center armrest and functions, and the metal Emergency Key is factory cut and manually locks and unlocks the doors and trunk. To test the metal Key, using the Touchscreen, put your car into Valet mode and remember your 4-digit PIN Code. Exit the car and lock it, and unlock the trunk with the metal key. If everything works with your Smartkey, including the metal Emergency Key, you're all set to find another Smartkey fob for your 2007 XK Convertible.

Some things you need to know.

2007 model year X150 cars were equipped with "single channel" Smartkey fobs through VIN B12815 and "multichannel" fobs thereafter. Those single and multi-channel fobs are not interchangeable. Read this old 2014 thread in its entirety, and Post #61 in particular:

When buying a second fob, make sure that you have a written guarantee that it is fully refundable within 60 days from the date of receipt, including return shipping with no restocking fees. Pay for it with a credit card, to better protect your rights. You need 60 days to have enough time to get a Jaguar dealer or indie to program it and get the emergency key laser cut.

Both Smartkey fobs will have to be present together with the car for them to be programmed to be car. It is not a simple process and requires the Jaguar software to do it.
