Performance upgrades are hell-expensive. Parts are expensive. $5000 USD for a clutch!!!
The Vantage goes around a corner with the best of any of them. It is a Le Mans winning sports car. I don't think many realize how full on the Vantage is or can be spec'd to be. I had a Porsche driving instructor in my Vantage (first AM he'd ever been in) and starting thinking he could replace his GT2 with a Vantage for the track. Utterly amazed how well the whole package was. I am often in awe how well the Rapide goes around a corner and steering feel. Not getting that at any other four door car... The brake pads on both Vantage and Rapide are a little hard for my liking. They really take some warming up like they are more track focused than for going to the grocery market and back. The Evora could bite right out of the driveway, but maybe it's lighter weight helped?

I believe my local AM dealer is around $3500 USD for a clutch. How much is a clutch change on an F Type? Just curious.

With 100hp less horsepower the GT8 can lap the Nurburgring in 7:50 which is a identical time to the xkr-s.. goes to show how well the vantage handles

Is it that the one? That's actually, REALLY reasonable. I'm budgeting 40-45k for acquisition and 5k for parts to repair because there's ALWAYS something. Hmm. That's a lot newer than I thought I could get too. You have both hamsters spinning their wheels flat out up in my head right now...

This blue over tan example at the same dealer was more what I was thinking I would end up with (but in grey over black guts), but honestly, that red example is a lot more appealing color combo and optionwise;

It'd be cool to test drive both at the same dealer.
That red one is a manual DB9.

Very very rare to see for sale.

But the light leather interior would be a must have over the black.

There is a peaceful feeling that comes with an interior that isn't all black.

Wow everything does look good in a red dress. Except the bald guy flashing his underwear, tacky.
