I was doing some cleaning of the XK last weekend and when I swiped the infotainment screen it popped into a world of Chinese scripts and other unusual stuff.
I had to disconnect the battery to get the system back. However, my wife says the touch screen is not as responsive and it takes some pressure to activate a button.
Anyone know what these screens were and if there is a way to recalibate the touch screen?
I will also state that the cable is putting pressure on the screen somehow. The screen is sensitive to pressure and Ive experienced this when ai used a magnetic phone holder mount that uses the CD slot. Too much pressure and it goes haywire
Tried tapping the leaper on the screen but that just sent me to the home page.
I have not noticed a problem like Mrs. P described. She didn't have a problem with changing channels etc yesterday

I don't think there's pressure from the cable. I have it routed away from the head unit behind the fascia.

Do not start the car. Just open the door (after the car has been off a while) and the leaper appears on the screen. This is when you tap it. And tap the cat's head.

I got to it this morning. Touched the points as reported by Panthera999 and the screen rebooted.
But....the leaper screen came up but I was not able to get to the main touchscreen. The leaper stayed on even with the ignition off.
I had to disconnect the battery to get it back but all appears good now.
