Looks like all they had to do was retire RJC's lemon, and voila...Jaguar jumped for 20th, all the up to #2 in reliability.

Fantastic. But even if they weren't reliable I'd still love them!

That's exactly how I felt about my last girlfriend.

It's just a suspicion but I'll bet RJC drives down the Mercedes reliability numbers too. I know that's not kind but--------------?

Didn't care how JD rated Jaguar when I bought it...still don't care now (but definitely prefer it when it's rated high!)

I have said here many times that there is no science in the J.D. numbers, and the article I posted reaffirmed that, saying it's all subjective.

Nevertheless, after being bombarded on this forum about how bad Jag's numbers were, I wanted to post the article to let everyone know that the very same source now says that Jag is #2. (It should be noted, though, that these numbers were gathered on 2011MY cars.)

Glad you did, and then I saw it on CNN last night. Can we now say Jaguar's reliability is "trending" upwards, or does a trend require two consecutive improvements? If we need two in a row we're going to have to bump Lexus out of the number one spot to do it! No problemo.

Good to see that Jaguar has the fewest number (besides Lexus) of wind noise complaints!
