I’m hoping someone can help me out. I have a 2007 Jaguar XK convertible, right hand drive (UK) and the drivers side carpet is soaking wet, more so in the rear than the front.
I have pulled the seat and carpet out and it is not clear to me where the water has been coming from. The rear seats and backrest are out and that area appears dry.
When I bought the car last month I did notice whistling around drivers door frame that possibly meant window was not sealing right, but never saw any water around there to indicate problem…
It does look like water has been coming in for a while. I think this is wrong side of car for duckbill leak but I did visually check duckbill with my iPhone from engine bay and it looks original but gap is there between the beak to let water out if needed.
All door seals and convertible hood seals seem in good condition. Boot is bone dry, spare wheel etc.
My second JLR product, last being an L322 Range Rover and that loved to let water in as well!!
Any advice appreciated. I have been looking through old threads but no real answers.
