Of course I have no idea. However, my wife and I went to SA for the worldwide introduction of a new generation of the BMW R1200GS motorcycle. It was a dealer event set in a very exotic location. So perhaps Jaguar did something similar to introduce this model?

Or maybe it was just a Cape Town Jag dealer that wanted to get some good shots of the car in a local setting.

Fianlly resolved the issue of water getting into the boot; It was coming in under the hinge which has now been removed and re-sealed.

I made a thin gasket and applied flexibile body sealent under the hinge before bolting it back down. this solved the issue of water coming in through this source although I was till getting water in.

further investgiation showed this was coming through the high level brake light which I removed and re-sealed.

I now have a dry boot!!!!!

Re-fitted all the tim and repaired the skirts while I was at it so all done

Default Looking to buy this car this week

Hi Chris, I am looking to buy this car this week. Please can you advise if any cause for concern from your ownership perspective please?

Cheers

I have no idea where these were taken.

This is off-topic, of course…
but: can a car be more beautiful?

Yep, 5 previous owners is a lot… I came back to Jaguar recently (after seven years with a 991 Turbo convertible) but found an XKR with low mileage and one previous owner only. Still risky business…

Message for yorkie3
Please contact me on 07747 805316 as I understand you own the silver XK convertible VX55 ENF which was taken to South Africa for a photo shoot in early 2006 to launch the new XK model to the Press and Public.
I own VX55 EOB which is a light blue coupe and the two cars were photographed together.I have a couple of photos of them together in South Africa.
I hope to hear from you.

Regards,
Kelvin Chambers
