What did you do to your X150 today?

Haha thank you I might be the experienced one but you certainly are the smarter !! buying the unit intact as a whole 😁😁 .
When I get back in I'll take a photo showing the difference of length between xk/xkr/Eibach ...the xk spring has to be compressed so much further to mount .
Extremely happy with the height of the front now 👌 ...just need to get the rear down 10-15mm (xkrs springs) then perfect
With the improved handling it definitely compliments the faster rack I have ....a lot sharp , precise and body roll drastically reduced.

Sitting perfect now dropped rear by 15mm
next on the list is these dodgy 1980s style rear lights🤮

[QUOTE=pbandj;2646435]what spoiler / exhaust is that?
I have x-pipe/100 cell cats but obviously that can't be seen the exhaust is a standard xkr rear box that I sprayed black actually my whole exhaust system including my headers have been coated .
The rear spoiler is from black pack although speed pack , xkrs, dynamic, xkr175 should all be the same (someone correct me if I'm incorrect)

[QUOTE=steve_k_xk;2646464]Do you have aftermarket exhaust headers or the stock OEM exhaust manifolds?
#2053
Stuart even though I have the 4.4l in mine I put my old headers back on (branched style) ...the 4.4 had the log style .
I've looked at BadCat headers and unfortunately just missed out on a set a while a go that was listed on eBay.
With the s/c I really don't see a huge gain however with n/a every bit does push it along

Scaped my Right front Fender
Pulling into the garage I got too close to the wall and scraped my off-side fender, leaving a big white scrape on the indigo-blue fender!
My spouse was horrified..as was I.
However, a 1/2 hour with a strong cleanser and a DA polisher using Meguiar's 105 compound and their Ultimate Polish made the "oops" completely invisible!
All is well in the world!

Upper strut mount split (not the isolator) finely got to the bottom of that knocking sound was pretty obvious when I swapped out for a spare shock I had and knock still there .
Was thinking I might as well do the lot
Parts finally arrived and xkr shock ready to go back in (painted in black much prefer over the green)

So on Saturday I went to pick up my baby at the dealership after its yearly service. I also had ordered a new remote as the double was broken (the tiny bit of plastic holding the physical key). The guy at the dealership first couldn't find it and thought it would have been left in the glovebox... I need to mention I had already fixed the said glovebox (the usual broken plastic, where the little string attaches) but that after the fix it didn't open 100% on its own...it needed a (gentle!) push to ben opened all the way.
So the guy at the dealership pushed it open...without any particular car...and I heard a little crack. Immediately I though "sh*t...hope it's not broken!" and when I got back home I could see it was every bit as bad as I feared: that f'n moron completely broke the plastic arm at the point where it attaches to the glovebox lid!!!
So I spent the whole Sunday afternoon trying to fix it, screwing little metal plates to it, that would slip into the hole on the back of the lid, where the plastic arm goes. And after hours of adjustments, just when I was about to get it right, the darn thing broke again, this time where I had placed the little screws!! All this time for nothing...
Therefore I have to figure out another solution...I guess I'll keep the small-metal-plates-that-go-into-the-hole-of-the-lid bit and this time attach a leather strap to them. I have an old belt that I can use. Hopefully that'll work, although I'm afraid the shape may be a problem (straight vs. arc of a circle for the plastic arm). A colleague of mine suggested I have a 3D-print replica of the plastic arm...that could be an interesting solution too, although I have pieces of wood lying around that I could use as well... I'll keep you posted!
But one thing is sure: that design of the glovebox opening really is a sh*tty one!
