Can be here in the northeast, that's why they made the XType and XF AWDs.

Would love to see some pics of it if you have any and if you're tech savvy enough!

A couple days ago, but Disabled TPMS!
But, while doing so, SDD showed the TPMS module is not responding.
SO, when it gets warmer and NO FRIKKIN' SNOW I will see about swapping that out again, re-enabling TPMS, then find out if it's fixed or not.

Picked up the front aero kit for my XKR, which the previous owner had damaged in a curbing accident. $1,067 shipped 😬🤢

When it arrives I'll need to get it painted and installed which is probably another $400 at least, I'm sure. Still, the front looks incomplete without it and you can see the slight marring along the bottom of the regular edge of the bumper where it was removed and I'll be glad to having the car blocking complete and in top shape again.

Not so much as what I did today, but rather what I ordered today for my '09 XK. New Bridgestone Potenza Sports from Tire Rack.
Mounting and balancing to come later.
Cheers.

Changed the E-Diff Fluid in the 5.0 XKR today. Just needed to shorten an 8mm Allen key enough and it came out fine. Have had much tougher jobs in older Japanese cars I've owned. Replaced fluid with Motul Gear 300 LS 75w90. Took out about 1200ml of fluid and replaced with 1300ml.

Drives and seems happy with the change so mission success.

Although Tire Rack says those Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires are on clearance because they were manufactured in 2020, I received front tires with an 0322 date code (3rd week of 2022) and rear tires with a 2321 date code (23rd week of 2021).

The Direct Tire near me offers mobile tire installation. It was worth the extra $50 to have them installed in my driveway instead of having to make 2 trips to their store to have them installed.

Today I replaced the orange reflector side markers for white ones. Took advantage of an unexpected trip to Scotland to order the white ones from Pentland's Jaguar in Edinburgh, part numbers C2P22648 & C2P22646. Interestingly, different price and packaging for each. Ridiculously expensive for what they are (about 100GBP/130USD for the pair) but what can you do.

Prized the old ones off, which both cracked - it was close to freezing. New ones installed with gorilla double sided. 5 minute job and I really like cleaner look.

Before - standard US orange

After - Scottish spec White

Dreaded whine coming from the power steering pump sounds like the bearings have failed , will go through the motions , drain & refill the system before replacing the entire unit just on the off chance the oil had completely broken down and deterreated .

I did buy the "2020" date code clearance Potenzas, and when they arrived, they were all early 2022. Good deal. Last year I bought "2020" date code close-outs for my Ferrari and got the same thing - 2022 date codes. Another good deal.

Not so much TO my car, but my old SDD laptop battery was totally shot and a new one cost $35. I instead got a much newer and better touch-screen laptop for $40 and spent many hours loading Windows 10 and dual-boot Windows 7 on it, and reloaded SDD. Holy crap was THAT a lot of work as Windows 7 can't locate the improved WiFi on the new computer. I had to manually locate all the SDD files I'd previously downloaded and transfer those over via a USB drive. I didn't realize how incredibly SLOW USB 1.0 is compared to USB3.
Anyway, it's all done and now I can actually USE this laptop for everything instead of merely holding SDD.

Just order a remanufactored alternator from RockAuto, the whining noise I was getting wasn't from PS (I changed the fluid steering really nice now) but instead it was coming from alternator.

Remove several small door dings on both cars that were only noticeable by me. My guy is the best in the local business and took his time as he knows I'm pedantic about my paint work.

Its called a Holden Ute SV6. Its not the fire breathing V8 manual but this late model example is in an immaculate condition.

Changed the oil in my XK and the L405 5.0. Everybody is now getting LiquiMoly 0-20W Secial Tec oil every 3000 miles. I started using it in the L405 and it made a noticeable difference, so the rest of the JLR V8's get the same juice. Plus, it makes ordering stuff all that more easy. I actually spend an hour looking for the oil filter wrench cap. Then I found it......still attached to the wife's XK which went to Miami last weekend.

Nice job. Thanks for the pics. I just bought a 07 convertible with 73,000mi. So, I'm anticipating I'll be busy myself. I rebuilt the entire front end on my 99. Wasn't a hard job at all. Did the timing chains and guides also. I hope this car is as easy to work on.
