I got my front end put back together after having bumper repainted to take care of the license plate holes and rock chips... Went ahead and installed the Black Pack grills I bought from Adamesh at the same time and red growler badge to go with my all red theme...
Plasti-dip that I put on 9 months ago and have shown no signs of wear... I used plasti-dip to see how I was going to like the color with the intention of painting or powder coating the wheels if I liked it, and to be honest the plasti-dip looked so good and has held up so well, I just haven't worried about painting/coating them yet. I will eventually, but I'm in no hurry at this point...
This is the kit I bought... I am very happy with results and have gotten numerous compliments on the wheels since the color change... I cleaned the wheels extremely well, by removing the wheels and using sponge, soft bristle brushes and simple green cleaner and then the pre-dip cleaner that was supplied... I even did a couple light coats of the plasti-dip on the inside of the wheel. I figured it would help the coating adhere better and plus it helps hide the brake dust very well... Results where really good!!!
Apologies in advance for going a bit off-topic, but I can't help myself.
Today, I got my X150 a new stablemate!
But here's the best part: More accurately, I WON my X150 a new stablemate. Seriously. An ad for an online sweepstakes showed up on my Facebook feed a couple months ago, and I decided to enter for the hell of it. Almost didn't respond to the email I got a few weeks later telling me I won the grand prize because I thought it was some sort of spam that got by the filter. Until it got delivered today, most of my friends were still insisting I fell prey to some Nigerian scam. The sweepstakes sponsor is even reimbursing the taxes. Craziest thing that's ever happened to me.
I was a bike guy long before I became a car guy but haven't had one in 18 years, which is coincidentally roughly as long as I've been married. But when fate bestows you a Harley for free, the wife can't really complain now, can she?

Street Suede dash installed. Also had my upholsterer do the console sides in suede. It’s a nice change from the pulling / faded leather dash I had.
He did a good job on the dash.. He did a little more decorative stiching than I wanted (he offered to redo it). I’ll roll with this for a while and see how I like the suede (it matches my headliner).
$100 for materials. $120 for the upholstery work. I did the R&R on the dash. At that price it was worth it to see how it would look. I can always take it to a high end shop and have it redone in the future if needed.
It got a bit hot, didn't notice the steam right away because it was bucketing down rain, won't know if it's cooked until Monday when the replacement tank arrives.
No low coolant warning on the dash, no warning about high temps either...
Mine blew its coolant out all over the motor.

Hope you did stop in time, fingers crossed for you!

Joe
Think it was smart doing the console sides to tie it in, but I'm thinking the cluster hump should have been done as well... Very cool

Thanks!
I may may try to have that done next time. I noticed a lot of new cars utilize suede on cluster and leather on dash or vice versa. The SVR F-Type does Leather on cluster I think. I was concerned about it looking like a eBay dash cover lol.
