Will set up a seperate review thread on the Evans experience in a 5.0sc when I do the change.
Today I had my front winter tyres delivered, falken HS01 Eurowinters, I already had a pair of brand new Pirelli sotozeros's for the rears for £100 last year from someone that bought the wrong size early Summer 2019 and when he came to fit them...doh!!
Also just panel wiped my refurbed Vulcans ready for the apllication of C5 wheel armour over t'weekend Before tyres are fitted.
Guidance seems to be when air temp regularly below 10c then that's the time to slap on winter rubber as road temp will be about 7c.
Gave the car a bath, foam cannon, hand wash, dry, added a coat of Kamikaze overcoat, filled the tank, added fuel stabilizer, did and engine flush, changed the oil, inflated the tires to 40PSI, laid tarps down on the garage floor, threw some dryer sheets in the cabin and engine bay, put it on the maintainer, covered it and said see you in the spring.
Well today upgraded exhaust to Mina Gallery. Good, easy install. Had the oil/filter changed too. I like most of the sound effects over the OEM exhaust. Love the looks of the quad tips. Here are a couple of before and after pics.

I just put mine on the lift, connected the maintainer and said sleep tight!:-)

Wow SeanW, wish you would tuck me in!
Regarding fuel stabilizers, Hagerty’s sent out this seat of pants review today. I use Stabil myself which has worked well for me. https://www.hagerty.com/media/mainte...letter_Weekend

Thanks CeeJay. I've seen that video and enjoy the info but the guy's a little hyper:-).
My gas is ethanol free and the use is purely precautionary as FS really only adds value to ethanol free gas if stored more than 6 months.
Maybe I'll have to rethink my lawn mower(s) though as I don't use tier one in them. I pulled my carburetor off my snowblower last week and it was absolutely corrosion free squeaky clean. I ran some Stabil in it last spring. I'll check the lawn mowers in the spring to be sure but for me on all my engines, it's cheap insurance.
I have a Maverik down the road 1/2 mile away that has Clear Gas which I use in all my small engines. It's only 87 octane so I don't put it into the Jag, and there is a Chevron another 1/4 mile away and so I use that for XKR.
Course, I drive the XKR at least once every month as the snow here is fairly intermittent. Roads can be completely clear, and sometimes the snow is deepish for a day or two and then completely melts away. Very rarely are the roads covered, or even wet.
Thank you for the interesting video.
The only small engine I have anymore is a largish generator. Use the Stabil in the 15 gallon gas reserve kept for emergencies and have no problem with corrosion in the carb although the cheapo fuel lines were shot last year which I attribute to the ethanol. I have a singular choice of E10 locally. Even the marine fuel has ethanol! Dump the unused reserve each year into my Subaru a bit at a time to avoid the waste and disposal issue.
Wish we had access to non-ethanol. Farm land is best used for food.

There IS a semi-easy way to remove the ethanol from petrol, but be advised that the Octane Rating will be reduced a couple points doing so.
In ten gallons of 10% ethanol fuel, one gallon is ethanol. Ethanol is water-soluble.
THEREFORE... into the 10 gallons of raw fuel, pour in the one gallon of water. Seriously. Mix it up for awhile and let it sit for several hours.
After that several hours, you will see a line at the bottom of the container.... (use a transparent container!) ... that has the water/ethanol mix. Two gallons of it.
Remove those two gallons off the bottom and you'll have 9 gallons of ethanol-free petrol.
Adjust recipe as required! 15% ethanol needs more water. Less = less.

Ok, now that I’ve got those two gallons of corn squeezins, what do I do with those other nine gallons of waste?

Ahh yes. That method makes perfect sense. Thank you although I’m unlikely to get my gasoline that way. I think you could use the alcohol water residual for hand sanitizer these days.
