Today I installed 10XK's "boot power point for CTEK". It is a simple mod that really simplifies plugging in the maintainer and a good test point for car battery voltage. Perhaps not as exciting as other mods but a very functional one.

My winter project was to fabricate a back seat cover to give the vert a more sporty look. Unfortunately, I'm waiting for word from my upholstery shop that it is finished. It will be in another post when it comes back and I can get final photos of it.

Do tell. My passenger side is slower too.
Well speed may be affected by the motor also. And yes there is an adjustment 'knob'. You can see it in the second picture, on the very right edge of the picture, halfway up/down. Remove the locking nut then you can turn the 'knob'. Its a tiny tiny hex fitting. Clockwise to push the window 'out' and counter clock wise to lean it 'in'. I set mine to far 'in' and its probably rubbing against something.

The manual tells you how to measure it but the picture sucks so its hard to tell what edge they are measuring it from.

There is also a 'forward/back' longitudinal alignment that is much easier to measure and set. But that only needs to be done on a new window install, and I don't think it would affect the speed.

Well, I had mine serviced, not today, but on Monday and Tuesday, for 2 days because besides the usual service I had a few other things to have done on it, in particular on the aerial.
I have a 2006 N/A 4.2, with the retractable aerial in the rear right fender, disconnected so it stays down. The previous owner had one mounted in the rear wing, but not connected to the stereo...and now I know why: it's because phase 1 stereos are not compatible with phase 2 aerials!

So basically I was faced with the choice of looks (keeping the aerial down, but crappy radio reception) vs. functionality (aerial enabled again, but good radio reception). I decided to go for functionality...

And because I have mounted Senta rims on my Jag, I needed the mud flaps on the rear fenders. I had that done as well.

And for your viewing pleasure, the said rims (before the mud flaps, though), with the red hub caps (which I think are a nice choice, as they add a welcome touch of colour, that the black ones of course don't offer):

Yes. My car had Dunlop SP Sports Maxx on my car when I bought it. I also have the 20" Senta wheels. I thought the ride was very harsh. I replaced them with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+. Handles much better and much quieter. I live in Florida so the Pilot Sport 3 is recommended over the Pilot Sport 4.

Hope this helps.

Any new tire of any brand will be better than old tires of any brand. Can't compare that way, have to get a full set of new tires for each brand, swap them a few times and drive them on the same day.

Well, in the meantime I had those Dunlops mounted. Nothing to complain about when it comes to handling and ride quality...

Default Well don't I just suck at guessing

I replaced my front upper control arms and tie rod ends, rear upper and lower control arms, stabilizer links and toe links. So then off to get an alignment. Of course I just eyeballed the alignment beforehand and I suck.

They probably do. I've had the same printout form Tires Plus, Big O tires as well over the years

Not quite today, but in the past few weeks my 19" Coventry Whitley wheels arrived and were fitted with Hankook Ventus V12 Evo 2 rubber and then fitted to the car. Oil + Filter change, Air filter change and 303'd the top. Car running great and enjoying every minute.

All the positive comments on this forum swayed me to the Hankook's and i'm not disappointed.

I will say the ride quality from the 20" Sentas to the 19" Coventry wheel is considerable, the pilots i had on the Senta's were getting old so appreciate this would make things a little more harsh.

Well, I washed the car today, got it all nice and shiny! No rain in the forecast. It has been raining for 8 straight hours. Son of a bitch.

Took the rainy afternoon to install the jag wrangler one touch convertible control module. What an awesome thing! Don't k ow how I ever lived without it. I will put the backseat back together after I put the kiddo to bed.

Do you have The Jag Wrangler's remote control top controller with the rear window controls? If not, you should get it because it makes a huge difference. With the top down, wind deflector up, and all 4 windows up the cabin is very calm at 70 mph.

And then there's the cool factor ...

Sheee, dood... I've had that thing for probably seven years now. Still works just as perfect as when brand new.
I got one for my old XK8, then it was the very first thing I put into the XKR (other than my butt and fuel).
