Was cleaning the car before my daughter took her out and discovered it had been keyed all up and down the passenger side. I don't get people.
The only answer to that is jealousy and when you that jealous, that's the type of stuff you do that's uncalled for and against the law and it's sad to be stupid enough to do that to people you don't even know. But anyway, how you gone go about fixing it or are you doing an insurance claim?

Not sure yet. I'm out of town this weekend, but when back I'll take a better look. I was too discouraged at the time to do much more than groan over it. Ironically, the prior xkr i had was pre-keyed when i bought it. Karma.
Good news on the keying front. It was actually more like heavy scuffing instead of gouges. I was able to buff out all but a couple of small areas using a polishing pad and finishing compound. Crisis averted.
Doing my best to fix a couple of busted headlight tabs on the driver's light, damaged and poorly repaired at some point before I owned the car. Plastic welding is ugly but effective so far, need to fine tune the fitment:
Busted tab before Half the tab is missing here so I'm making the missing piece out of scrap plastic Plastic-welded back on with steel mesh reinforcement. Needs to be sanded/fine tuned Headlight removal is super easy
Finished fixing up the driver's side headlight tabs, took slightly more revision after the initial repair. Fitment is FAR better than before and the headlight is solidly mounted

New brake pads and rotors on rear. Wasted a lot of time getting the wind-back tool to work; my bad - just not thinking. Interesting thing, and shouldn't be surprised with a used car with 3(?) previous owners, found the rear brake wear sensor hanging loose, but it was incorrect for the rear - was a front wear sensor. Did a previous owner buy the wrong sensor, find out that it didn't fit, so just left it hanging there? Or didn't have the correct one and left it in place so the dash warning light stayed off? The adventures of used cars, and discovering previous "fixes" and making things right...
Replaced the front lower lateral and forward control arms. I used Eurospare for the banana arms. Still too fricken cold to drive on summer tires. It hasn't hit 40 today so yet to test drive it. She'll need an alignment.
Next is to add CarPlay and Cabrio Bob's ashtray gauge display. Both use the same Cigar lighter feed. My lighter housing is DOA. I've never tried it, but the housing was shot so ordered from Terry's Jaguar and will resume the Cabrio Bob's install when the parts are here. Cambo's CarPlay set up takes advantage of the convenience mode wiring of the Cigar lighter so I'll start working on that in the interim as there are no warm days on the horizon.
Topped off rear diff fluid and added seal conditioner...hopefully that will stop the leak at the left axle shaft.....
Be careful @mizzleman ! The fill port on the differential is not the fluid level. I would just empty it and put in the specified amount. The issue is volumetric gain which occurs when the fluid is heated.
The sealant ma work. But the diff gets hot. I think a new seal may be in order.

I recently did my diff oil on a XKR4.2 and pumping 1.3litres of gear oil that's when the oil started to drip out at the fill hole. Wait till it stops dripping and I capped her off. So the fill hole is the fluid level.
Added DRL to my 2008 XKR. Using SDD V130 and a Mongoose, set DRL to Canadian spec. Worked like a champ.
CEL indicator came on but cleared after a short drive. Happy camper now!
Been proven to run cooler without the gear oil breaking down in extreme conditions. It gives me a safety margin especially the way I drive.
Overkill yes, but at least I don't need to worry about it for another 15 years!!
