Good looking ride. Why not go for it? I bet you will be the only IRR X150 within 300 mile radius.

I haven't seen IRR in person but looks to be a really nice color especially paired with charcoal interior. I'd say still sporty but not as loud / sporty as my salsa red. . .nice happy medium

I personally love the IRR on an XK/XKR. I think it looks really good. I think it looks especially good with the two tone red/black sport seats.

I've never owned a black car, but black XKs are great looking to me. Is your reluctance to not own another due to difficulty in keeping clean, or just a 'been there and done that' deal?

Beautiful Vette, by the way!
i had one black car, a Nissan Maxima, but never again. In the old days when Coventry (my home city) had an automotive industry the car to be used at an auto show would be painted black so all the imperfections could be seen and corrected. the car was then repainted in its original colour. Black cars look great when clean and new, or if you have a chauffeur, but I have avoided them like the plague since my one experience.

Maybe what Jaguar calls it, but this is not Italian Racing Red. I have Alfas in "Rosso Corsa" and the red is not only flat, there is considerable orange in it. This looks like the deep metallic red Zagato has used with new Astons. In any case, it's gorgeous and the charcoal makes for the perfect livery. Get it!

I have IRR with Oyster White interior and love the color combination. IN the end buy what you like!

Alfa also has a similar metallic red to the IRR called Rosso Competizione. Their solid red like Ferrari, has changed over the years.

I used a car appraiser in the UK when I bought my XKR-S and he suggested I stay away from Italian Racing Red and he had found issues with longivity of the paint.
In my opinion looks great but have a careful look at the paintwork and if possible get the paint thickness measured before you decide.

Right on, and I believe first introduced with the 8C. Definitely very similar if not the same as this Jag color.

That color looks great with the black trim! I wouldn't hesitate to get the XK in that color and black it out, that's my .02.

Mate, down here there are several sayings, " Any colour long as it's red", " Paint it red and race it" and "If it's red it's faster", hope this helps.

That's a real pretty car!
Here in Aussie its a very in vogue colour at the moment my brother just bought a jeep GC summit same colour combination its stunning in the flesh.
I've always looked at the car!
Colours come second in my mind.
If your conservative dont buy it you're going to get some admiring looks your partner might not like that unless they're cool and get to drive her as welI
I remember when I was dating my second wife I had a Sovrighn the colour was called pink Champagne she hated that car till she got to drive it wonder why lol

Default You asked - I responded

Hey Cat!

So, I take it by your question that the mechanical specifications are spot on. And you are concerned over appearance, color wise. You are questioning others acceptance of the color combination without stating your preference. That makes answering your question a bit difficult.

Obviously, you are concerned.

If this is an investment with market value in mind, do your research. Which colors maximize your value?

If this purchase is for your enjoyment, man, follow your desires and never mind my opinion, or others for that matter.

Go for it.

Macdog
