Look at the prices of XJS models now a

E Type's have gone ballistic or at least they have here in Australia

I'm going to put my X350 XJ8 up for sale I paid 25 for it in 2012 my mechanic said start at 28 there's none for sale if I get my 25 back after 9 years I'm happyThe only thing I can't replace it for that money but at 56 and recovering from a major bike accident last november
I need something a bit higher and easier to get into so low sports cars are out
Looking at the Fpace as I'm a Jag guy for life that'll be my last one unless they make a electric Fpace I'd really be motivated to upgrade then

I would have to assume there is a availability difference from your country vs the US. The only production Jaguar here which has increased in price to the extent of being unreachable by most folks is the XKE. All other models are usually bargain buys and for the owners usually a fairly good financial loss. The market for XJS's is not there and very difficult to sell thus they take a good loss. As for sedans there is no present market demand so selling them is also difficult. Even the F-Types are sitting on the lot for long periods of time . X150's are in the same boat and the market is not there. Some may hold a value but for the most part you sell at loss. Most of us here know we will take a bath when we buy them but it's all part of the deal. I've owned 6 Jags in my life and took a large loss on every one even my XKE back in 1969 . My last venture was a 2012 XKR Convert I bought in 2014 for $75K ($110K MSRP) with 6,666 miles on it. Sold it in Dec. 2019 with 24K miles on it for $30K. The car was in excellent condition and I enjoyed it but it was time to move on. So enjoy them as long as you can but don't count on getting your money back.

I Wish i could buy one that price they just seem to be getting silly money it wasn't always like that just in the last 3 years then Covid has driven prices mad for everything over here houses have gone up 100,000 this year already we're only 4 months in
