Default What is the proper protocol for contacting a Member/Seller ?

Hi,
My name is Bill W.; a new Member who has very recently bought a 2008 XK coupe. So recently in fact, that I've yet to welcome delivery. I finalized the out of state purchase, only today.

I've long admired Jaguars; XK/XKR's in particular. So this is a very good day for me. Visiting the Forum, I've been struck by how friendly & helpful you all are toward one another; most every question is patiently answered / and explained with courtesy. Very Impressive.
I'm usually not a "Joiner", but this Forum' s civility has created an exception. I'm in my 60's, but still very excited to be joining your fellowship of Jag Owners.
With that said, I find myself a bit lost navigating a very rudimentary task on the Forum. I'm hoping that someone will chime in, and set me on the proper path.

I've found something listed on the Members Marketplace that has stirred my interest, but I can't seem to figure out how to privately contact the Seller, to discuss.
The Post is an old one, but it is not marked "Sold", so I imagine there's a slim chance it's still available. However, I won't know until I successfully contact the Seller.
To compound the problem, the Seller is a Senior Member who while active in the past, hasn't posted anything for a good while. Therefore, there's isn't an opportunity to reach out in an unrelated sub-Forum, to discuss.
Reading the "newbie" primer hasn't helped. There is no email icon to access, nor is there a procedure for reaching out via a Personal Message System available to me... at least I haven't found it.
I fully admit that I may be missing the obvious, embarrassingly so, perhaps... but there it is.
So any advice, suggestion, help offered, will be greatly appreciated. Thank You..

Welcome to the forums Bill,

Just post in the thread. Unless the member has deliberately turned off Notifications, they will get will get a notification of the new post. The choice is then either to reply in the thread or contact you by forum PM or email.

As a newbie, you cannot SEND forum PM's (Private Message) or email until you have the minimium qualifying period of membership and number of posts. However, you can RECEIVE them immediately and can REPLY to any you receive.

Graham

Welcome aboard! The protocol is very similar to other high-end car forums... send each of us $20. Works like magic.

reply To Scott in PA , forever now known as "Slick"

Right you are, Scott... you are more than entitled to the $20. remuneration, asked for.
Kindly remit the required $40. S&H fee, and your funds will be promptly forwarded.
Anyone else looking to avail themselves of this stellar deal, please advise.
(I may be a newbie... but I wasn't born yesterday. )
