I would say in general the British marques make the best interiors. Italians and Brits are tied on exterior and Japanese make the best engines.

Plaid never went out of style in sports cars, just took some vacation time. Everything old is new again! Still a design trend-setter after more than 60 years. Timeless.

I am a sucker for any interior with plaid or tartan! Bring it on. I saw a DB11 that some tartan accents with the leather. Looked incredible. The whole use of fabrics in automotive interiors is really sad. There needs to be more non-leather or alcantara options. How about some paisley or Missioni styled fabrics in the interior!!!

OK, now this is just getting ridiculous. Maybe someone should start a thread "Who Makes the Most GawdAwful Interiors?".

Who else but a British Motor Car Company would claim that the car's interior was of Scottish Black Angus Highland Cattle Leather?? Oh and looking at the original spec sheet of my 2009 XK, that Burled Walnut interior trim, that some of you seem to hate,
was an $2,800. accessory . Not bad fo a car that had a list price of just over $80K

That's what's known as a "MINT"! interior.

Default Custom interior for my '08 XK

I have always been a fan of Bentley interiors, but who can afford that? I decided to design a makeover for my XK and add some color to its monochrome beige. Here are the results: Ridgeback 'gator, extra wood, rebuilt steering wheel, brown carpets and belts, custom headliner, sound-proofing under carpets and headliner, and more. Still getting great comments, along with a few purists who think nothing should be changed. Hey, it's my car and "I Did it My Way."

The original interior was beautiful

My concept for a custom interior to mimic Bentley-style contrasting leather.

Getting started by gutting the interior - a bit scary. Floors and roof will get DynaMat soundproofing installed.

Every interior part was taken apart and reworked.

While interior was in progress, sent the steering wheel out for rehab. Gator hide on grips, metal surfaces converted to wood burl, retro growler emblem.

Ultra-suede headliner with "gator covered roof rails and upper console.

The completed interior, exactly as planned.

While not exactly my taste, I love that you've made it the way you want and not for anyone else's tastes. When I recently restored and modified my '72 Pantera, I was determined to make the interior more luxurious, more comfortable, and more functional, purists be damned. And that's what I did. Great job you've done!

While I love the contrast, alligator wouldn't have been my choice. Still looks great though.

Bentley always does it for me. This is a 2005 Bentley Continental GT. Available now for XK-R money. This is the only car I'd consider swapping my XK-R for. This one is a 50,000 mile example. with full dealer history, in immaculate condition and for sale for £27,000 of our English pounds.

This should give some of you guys heartburn. The interior in my 2020 Ram Limited is arguably one of the nicest on the market today. Quality leather, real wood, well coordinated trim and textures, super sound system, very comfortable and quiet with top of the line electronics. I’ve owned a LOT of vehicles over the years. Some of the higher end are 2 Audis, 3 BMWs, 4 Cadillacs, a 911, a Lexus and eight Corvettes, and a bunch of other trucks and cars (Oh and my 2018 f type r). It really amazes me how nice the Ram is.

My best friends interior started cracking and bubbling after 1 year in NY, they did zero research before trying that type of wood. It was uncoated wood.
He did not even bother fixing it because they soon offered him money for the whole suv because of diesel cheating.

I have to disagree. I had a 2014 Ram Longhorn with wood and leather and after 6 years and 63,000 miles the interior was still like new, which is one reason I pulled the trigger on the new Ram. That 2014 was probably the most trouble free vehicle I’ve ever owned. Did nothing but maintenance for 63000 miles. Didn’t even change brakes til 60000. I was historically a GM guy when it came to my trucks but got a lemon and switched to Ram.The newer ones are awesome. But I guess not everyone has the same experience. BTW Jeep and Ram are owned by FCA but are separate companies.

Ok you figured out which was the best years and they fixed the problems- they have had some horrible years.
To their credit, I think it comes from trying materials no one has ever used before, such as raw wood. I understand it can look and feel incredible.
Read complaint number 3 on this list.
