Never knew why they omitted the glass covers over the headlights till now. Did know why they did away with the three ear knock offs though. Poor reasoning by some commitee. Also the loss of the toggle switches was a mistake imho. The car looked better with the toggle switches vs the rocker ones.

I had a '59 MKIX once with the 'Jaguar' hood ornament mounted on the hood. Darn safety commitee got rid of those too. Might impale somebody when you hit 'em. Now that was a solid body on that car. If you hit somebody with that car, the least of his worries would be being stabbed by a Jag hood ornament.
Back, back, back in my youth, when E-Types were still cheap (ish), I used a Uni-Syn. Never got it just right, but I believe I completed my four-letter vocabulary with that one device.
