Why is the performance of the XKR so poor?

It's all according to what you're comparing it to.
You have to understand that an XK is a touring car not a sports car.
As a previous owner of a Porsche 911who went back to an XK I understand the difference.
I could haul around corners at 100 mph without a doubt in my Porsche.
The first time I tried that in my XK, I nearly killed myself.
My Porsche was not only tight but fast as a demon.
My XR was quick (not fast) like the Porsche.
BUT.....
I would NEVER consider taking my Porsche on a cross country trip (it would beat the hell out of me)
However, I LOVE taking my XK cross country. It is a pleasure to drive.
THAT is the difference between a sports car and a touring car!
It's all about what you value most... your preference in driving... the how and where you drive.
If you want a sports car and like the Jaguar brand, get an F series vehicle.
If you want a touring car, there's none better than the XK

A main Dealer won't do a tranny service as they say 'sealed for life' IT IS NOT, they will wait for it to fail and charge you £5k for a new transmission
From a ZF protek accredited maintainer the cost of the fluid and mechatronic sleeve replacement is around £450
I appreciate that many in the UK (either due to age, laziness or more money than sense) trust their main dealer so much they even get their tyres, wipers and bulbs changed by them
On the issue of hard rest either google or forum search as it's late and I'll not do that for you....CJ might though, but is probably miffed by your tyre choice (sorry an 'in' joke)

I have had the vehicle serviced today, they didn't report any problems with the engine or transmission. The rear tyres have cords showing apparently (which is strange since it passed the MOT about 2 months ago and there was no mention of the rear tyres, not even an advisory, and I have only done about 1000 miles in that time).
I also had them use the engine and injector cleaner, not sure if it has made a difference though as the weather was awful.

I have a hacked version of SDD, top speed is now 300 kph (186mph). I got a bit over that ( Speedo ends at 180 mph, but I got past that... 190???) with no noticeable limit, but I was done trying after that cuz NeRvEs. Dude's strip wasn't super clean, but no flora nor fauna anywhere near cuz Salt Pan surrounding it.

To tell you the truth,I wouldn't have never even bought an XKR if I never experienced myself what the damn thing can do and people are VERY SLEEP on it's power, I guess cause they don't see a lot of them or most likely never even heard of them or seen an XK model before

YOU don't have that capability, and I have it ONLY to participate in a sanctioned speed event, the Silver State Classic.
