I installed the Jaguar Aux Audio kit in my 07 last year. I just last night got a Bovee 1000 unit and plugged it into the 30pin connector. I have a 2020 model iPhone SE 64GB phone with iOS 14.4.2 (I think thats current given no updates listed available) and it was super easy to sync up. Then today driving to work, it was great, super fast connection to phone from time of start of car to synced on phone and music coming out of the car speakers. It does everything I wanted it to do; make music go over bluetooth and come out the car speakers.
Very happy with the Bovee1000 despite the $85 I paid for it on Amazon.
So I decided on a less expensive fix with which I’m satisfied. I purchased an FM transmitter (actually three, the one that worked best I kept - see pic - courtesy of Walmart...). To provide the best connectivity I disconnected the car’s antenna (and mechanism) given FM transmitter’s work by using the weakest channels, i.e., I sought to weaken said channels (I use 88.1) for improved transmission and hence better sound. I also pretty much never listen to the radio so I won’t miss the antenna. The transmitter connects via bluetooth automatically with my phone when I get in the car. I also discovered that if I hardwire the transmitter to my phone, the sound is even better. Is it as good as my CD player? Not quite, but more than acceptable, especially for 16 bucks....I can use it for calls too.
