Window shopping for next XKR...your comments please.
I have lots of time before next summer. I'm looking for my next XKR or a XKR-S. My last two XKR's were 2011 XKR175 and 2013 XKR coupe, black with dynamic pack and performance exhaust. I'm looking for a convertible with performance seats. This one will be a keeper. I prefer a 2015 as new as possible. Dynamic pack, performance exhaust, and Vulcan rims highly desirable. I prefer a dark color, ultimate black, stratus grey or sapphire blue. I know everyone has different taste and will like your input on the below (I'm not sensitive so please call it as you see it).

IMHO a "Final Fifty" convertible would be the ultimate. (1 of the 25 'verts)
Second chioce would be this car... Cars for Sale: Used 2014 Jaguar XK in R-S Convertible, Fife WA: 98424 Details - Convertible - Autotrader
Only 220 miles and just $80K US.
Third choice...

I lusted after a italian racing red XKR. It really shows off the shape nicely. Virtually every time I stop (my IRR) F type someone comes up to ask about it or take a picture (or thumbs up from people next to me or being filmed while I am driving it) and personally I think it is the colour that gives it so much more attention than the (silver) XKR. Unless you arent an attention ***** like me, in which case dont go red.
I second the XKRS-GT. Looks awesome!
I have performance seats in the F Type. They are setting in nicely after 8000km, but they are a lot harder than the lovely seats in the XKR.

The mass car market is going through rapid change with alternative energy and autonomous driving. The next 10 to 20 years will be like none other.
I have lots of time before my next purchase. I made an offer on an XKR-S, but it has been refused. When I was selling my MB SLK55 AMG and last XKR I had a hard time finding a buyer--2 very difficult cars to sell. I'm cognizant of the soft market for the XKR and will only jump on a good deal.

I sure hope Jaguar does eventually partner with Williams. Jaguar is ripe to make an F1 engine supplier entrance within the next 5 years and Williams is the perfect partner for this along with a line of Jaguar/Williams sports cars at several price points.

Yes, unfortunately these cars depreciate if you drive them or not. I paid a lot less than that for my 2011 XKR 175 with 3,000 miles in 2012 (4 years ago).
