Turns out they have a very responsive online chat. There's a 30 day money back if you have any problems. My Samsung S5 appears to be compatible. They will ship "late Sept." so probably October-November.
I just took delivery of my new-to-me 2010 XKR and was researching back up options. This seems like an easy option. So today I was looking around for the OBDII and found an on/off switch for what appears to be a K-40...nice.

But then I already added a backup camera last fall, since the GVIF unit used to display my HKS Camp2 gauges has multiple available video inputs, with a dedicated backup camera port (hope to add a front 'curb angle' view camera this fall, to make splitter scraping a thing of the past).

I'm thinking that CJ is talking about having to plug in the OBDII reader then hanging a cell phone from someplace in the car. Also similar would be hanging a radar detector. I don't think he would have liked the fuzzy dice we used to hang on our rear view mirrors back in the 50's.

My 2012 has the backup camera and it is nice, however not a necessity. It isn't like we are driving a Suburban XLT or something, just turn around and look back, it ain't that far!
That looks like a pain, have to put the phone up somewhere it can be seen, probably start an app, make sure the screen doesn't turn off, what if my power is low, or on a phone call. Sometime technology is not convenient while trying to shove so many functions through a smart phone.

My 2012 has the backup camera and it is nice, however not a necessity. It isn't like we are driving a Suburban XLT or something, just turn around and look back, it ain't that far!
