As you know, this subject has previously been discussed ad nauseum. Of course, anything can be done with enough money. But in this case, the juice ain't worth the squeeze. See: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-173453/page2/
And well priced ! I just so wonder if these would fit on x150 ..off the cylinder ports yes but what's the restraints comparing x100 to x150
Swallows have made a set of 4.2 X150 long tube headers. Spoke with Tom
at length about it and even placed an order. Apparently due to the tight compartment it was quite a challenge to fit them. Then he realised mine was LHD and he cancelled the order. His concern was steering linkage as left and right sides aren't the same and was concerned without having the car with him they might not fit.
Spoke with one of the better known custom exhaust companies here in the US but they wanted me to ship the car to them and their quote for materials was astronomical.
VAP also claimed after making headers (can’t recall if long or short) the power gain was negligible…… I reckon they sounded good though…
I’m still interested if I find a way to do it. Considered taking welding classes.
Preferences for modifications vary, and that's completely fine. Everyone has their own take on it. After all, if we don't try new things, nothing would ever progress but I do appreciate your concerns with bang-for-buck when it comes to performance items in honesty, I would be quite happy to gain another 20-25hp and call it a day. Unfortunately we are always going to be walking the tight rope when it comes to these vehicles, as there will never be a huge aftermarket scene .

When I was forcing a 9.2 liter big block into a pint-sized Mustang II I had to build my own everything. EVERY thing. The headers were probably the most difficult though. 2-1/4" primaries and 4" collectors in a vastly too-small (although forced to be larger with a lot of cutting and welding) engine bay. It took two weeks to get them to fit and they look similar to these ones, although not stainless and not pretty. I'll look for some decent pictures if anyone wants to see my messes.
