Hello All,
2001 XKR Supercharged.
The wooden areas of my steering wheel has the gloss finish wearing off of it. How can I repair/refinish that? Any tips, tricks or products will be helpful.
I apologize if this question has been asked 1000 times. I just want to fix it up and make it look better.
Thanks in advance!

You’re in the wrong model forum though your question is universal and not model specific. The only right was to do it is to re laquer or urethane. British Auto Wood in Florida offers this service but there are others you can find through google. You will have to remove the wheel, of course.

The finish on the top of my XK8 steering wheel started splintering due to constant sunshine and heat. I sanded lightly, used just a tad of dark oak stain (like a drop) in a quarter cup of urethane and applied four coats. A light sanding and it was vastly improved, but still noticeable if you searched for it.
