In a World of Boring Cars...One stands Out from the Crowd..
This makes it all worthwhile. Today, my wife and I took a drive on the Palisades Interstate Parkway (which connects New Jersey to New York State) and drove 45 minutes to go to one of our favorite restaurants for an early dinner. Riverview Restaurant - In Cold Spring NY - [try to the open steak sandwich...yummy!
While sitting in the restaurant, looking out the window I could not help but admire my British Racing Green Jag. I thought to myself - damn...that car looks good. I only paid $18,500...worth every penny.

It certainly is, I think the same thing every time I look at my beautiful XK
Yep, even walking into the garage to take out the trash puts a smile on my face when I see her (although not so much now, as she's under cover for the winter).
And parking close to the restaurant windows, where you can admire it, and see the passers by admire it, is enjoyable.
As a designer of shapes, It takes me no time whatsoever to find the ugly or flaws. At the very least I get bored faster than others. For instance the Ftype doesn't stand out from the other cars anymore. The XKR still takes my breath away from all angles. What helps it is that it has the right size to make a stance.
BTW those looking to make the XK even more attractive- go to a 305 size tire in the rear. The key is to fill out the rear haunches. p.s. put 3M clear protection for resulting stone chips.
I had mine out yesterday for a quick run up to Lowes. I had two people walk over on the way out of the store to look at, admire, and talk about my XK. They're truly beautiful rides.

Same! My wife sat in the car while I ran in and said several people commented. Apparently Lowes is the peak of car appreciation locations on Sunday mornings!
Call me 'numb nuts' for reading from my phone, I can't zoom in to see markings, so what is it?

Yes, Jagtoes is correct. It's a Morgan. Simply google "Morgan Automobiles" for the rich history of the brand the Morgan. The Morgan is a British classic in the older days.
The Morgan Aero Super Sports is a new model, but a blend between the older classic style of British cars and a modern touch. The quality is impeccable and in most cities here in the USA, it would be a one-of-a-kind motorcar. Mostly hand built.
The price is not low, as the cost is currently around $155,000. I think style is classic, yet modern as stated and would have an appeal for a vast amount of time.
The motorcar enthusiast certainly has to like the classic style. The style is now where near the modern appeal of the Jaguar, but carries a heritage that is hard to find in many newer modern marvel motorcars.
Richard, most appreciative that you should bring up heritage, its the real and not so well known appeal of a Jaguar. No other car in the world has a greater heritage. For instance in 1948 Jaguar made the car that this Morgan emulates, the Xk120- which was the fastest production car of its era, and keeping with the Jaguar formula, it gave 20 miles to the gallon- in 1948 with a 6cly engine. So it wasnt just a shape, it had world class engine and aluminum body. As its should its was made in the same factory as the Spitfires that won the war. Our current XK were also made there (Castle Bromwich) with techniques that made the Spitfire legendary. What heritage.

Mike next time you're up our way stay on the other side of the hudson and stop in Newburgh on the waterfront. There are a good 1/2 dozen restaurants there and they all have great food and a nice view of the hudson river. We have a couple of tourist type town up here like Cold Springs and Rhinebeck and even Beacon. Mostly draws NYC types to the country where the shop owners can fleece them. Also a few more miles up the road is the Kingston waterfront which also has some great restaurants.
