X150 Fuel Filter
Hello Folks,
My car went into "reduced performance" mode the other day. the code reader was 0P0087 - Fuel pressure system / system pressure. Error
The breakdown guy suspected fuel filter
After some investigations it turns out the after VIN 32753 models (mines a 2010 40000 something) don't have a remove filter
Can anyone confirm this as true?
I did a search but just lots of people changing the filter itself which is confusing.
So if that is the case, where if the filter? the garage said that jaguar told them the filter is integral to the pump unit ad is for "life"
I'm an engineer and the term "life" really annoys me, life for jaguar is either defined as 3 or 6 years up to 60k miles, at which point they want you to buy a new one
My vehicle has 100k miles and 12 years old, I'd like to actually change the integral fuel filter.

Easy to replace from under the car. In front of left rear suspension. New filter was about $20 when I replaced mine last Fall.

2010 XK NA fuel filter
My experience with the naturally aspirated 5.0L fuel filter:
Note the cup-like structure shown at the bottom of the flange.
Probably the same part as an XF, although on-line catalog says not.
Verify part numbers as they may be superseded.
The tank flange has an integral filter.

It is indeed a fuel filter, integrated into the fuel tank flange. It’s a serviceable part and has been the subject of multiple recalls over the years for cracking and leaking fuel. The flange/filter connects directly to the in tank LP fuel pump which sits on the bottom of the tank. The fuel pickup has a plastic mesh “sock” which protects the pump from larger particles and the fuel filter further cleans the fuel prior to the fuel lines, injectors, etc.

My 5.0 XK flange cracked open and leaked nasty yellow stuff from the filter inside the flange.
The reason for cracking most likely is due to high pressure and clogging of the 60 micron filter as well as age of hte plastic.
The flange can be accessed by removing the rear seat (it lifts up) and underneath a rubber grommet, however the bolts
are very hard to get to and may require lowering the fuel tank slightly.
