I did my oil service on my own 5.0 XKR late last year and posted on another forum about this as I was concerned that I only got 6.25 litres out using the suction pump. Long story short, someone else used the pump method, then raised the car and removed the sump plug and got another 250ml out so the difference between the two methods is fairly negligible.
What was interesting to me though is that the car only took about 6.25 litres of new oil to show full on the electronic oil gauge, but the service fill quantity is stated as 7.25 litres. I added another litre to bring it up to that quantity figuring I could easily pull some back out with the pump if it showed over-filled but it didn't, so "full" on the electronic gauge can mean anything from about 6.25 to 7.25 litres. Once fully drained, put 7.25 litres back in.
I was pleased to see my old oil filter looked clean and the oil on it was the same colour as fresh oil so I assume the engine internals are in good shape.
