That's no fun...do you have to eat the entire cost of the new exhaust?

I've been contemplating the Mina for a while now. If it works/sounds as good as it looks, it would be worth the money imho.

I am concerned I will still have big droning and lack of back pressure with x-pipe, so unless totally convinced, I am going back to 100% OEM. If anyone wants an x-pipe, send me a PM.

There are several threads regarding exhaust modifications with many happy owners. I removed the resonators and replaced them with an X-pipe which is essentially the same as the performance exhaust option from jaguar.

The results as I have posted with audio are amazing and well worth it. I have absolutely NO drone.

If I were you I would keep the X-pipe and put the stock muffler back on. You have already come this far...

As I said in my previous post, I replaced my center section with an X pipe and have no drone and noticed no performance drop.

Same here, though mine is the 5 litre. The sound is awesome and there is definitely no reduction in performance.

That said, my 4.2XF with the paramount exhaust sounded better, IMO.

Reverted back to OEM muffler and x-pipe. Don't notice anything difference between the x-pipe and resonator FWIW. Drives so much better than with the Magnaflow's. Anyone want Magnaflow's for real cheap? 100 miles or less on them.

Yes thats my new ride, although most of the forum members here hate it because of the body kit on it lol. It just has the resonator removed, thats it. I love the sound of it. Very quiet if im just cruising around but it sounds like a nasty, mean wild animal when I unleash it. I would love to do a milltek exhaust just for more performance but im not too keen on the 8,000$ price I got quoted for it. I think im just going to eliminate the cats and see how it sounds then, if its too loud I will put a quiclsilver cat back on after the test pipes.

I'm one of the guys that like body kits as long as they are tasteful like yours. Well done. Hard to believe just removing the resonator made that much of a difference. Very nice sound.
More pics please!

Got the XK up to 70-80 in Sport mode. Didn't notice anything different over OEM (with x-pipe). Going back to OEM muffler has vastly improved low end torque and makes the car much snappier. Had trouble driving it in traffic actually. Had to lighten the foot on the throttle!

I'd say the x-pipe for a cheap mod may/may not be worth it, but you won't suffer ill consequences at least.
