I've finally received my new black grilles from Mina which look awesome (and the cf louvres look brilliant too).
Now the instructions to remove the grill and replace with the new one essentially involve pushing the existing grill in toward the radiator from the edges first, then installing some brackets and screwing the new grill into the brackets. It sounds pretty easy, but I'm not handy at all. Has anyone done it? Supposedly you don't have to take the front off.
Cheers but no. Before I ordered it I asked and it can apparently be done with it on. Supposedly quite simple (for normal people, I don't profess to be one) and should take about 30 mins.
I'll have a crack at it all and take pictures. If it isn't too embarrassing, I'll post them.
In the end I had a panel shop take the front off and do the job. I think that "gently tap" actually means "hit it quite hard" and I was worried I was going to break something. I posted a picture of the final product in the XKR picture thread.
