XK Key Fob

XK Key Fob
Does the 2012 or 2013 XKR get a key fob like the XJ or are they stuck with the same cheap plastic one that comes with the 2007 -2011 XKR?
I don't have many complaints in regard to my 2007 XK but I must say that Jaguar definitely took the cheap route with the key fob. I have had to replace the plastic chrome collars numerous times due to cracking and peeling. I actually gave myself a nasty cut on my finger due to this cheap key fob!
Can an XJ key fob be programmed to operate an XKR?

Huh, intersting. Here's one review that faults the XJ key fob Naughty or Nice: Key Fobs - KickingTires
To paraphrase the old quote about lawyers: Put two XK owners in a room and you'll have three opinions.

Seems like there a bunch of XJ owners who would love to trade key fobs with you.

It would be great if Jaguar would offer replacement chrome collars made out metal instead of that cheap chrome plastic. They use the same cheap chrome on the gear select surround on pre-2010 models.
As far as complainers go, I actually read a review of the XK that found fault with the doors being too long!
