So, I take it this is minimal surgery, basically shortening the loop pipes on each side, as so;

Easy enough, and I assume the internal piping and ribs are baffled or otherwise slotted or something, which would make quite a difference.
Thank you again, sir.

It's good, and sound is important ? There is no difference with valves open and close ?

Or not??? Weird though, it only appears to be YOUR photos. Everyone else's appears normally (I.... guess???).
Yours also appear as broken links in the quote above. At least to ME they do.
Maybe I'll have to submit a Problem to Firefox.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAAA!!!! *sigh* oh, that was a funny joke.

Seriously though, everything is great everywhere (including my Pixel 4) except Firefox on PC. And, only from Cambo.
I'll try messing with my AdBlock add-ons and such, see if I can figure it out.
Pics work great on the F150 forum I am on, and that is also an "Internet Brands" site, like this one.
Dunno, man.

But anyway, back to the back box;
Unless there is perforated tubing where the packing is located on the outer chambers (which I suspect), it'd be almost a straight-pipe (although bendy) with a small glass pack on each side (due to perforations and packing). After modding, that is. Most of the actual MUFFLER seems wasted with that bypass setup, since No Flow. That's fine with me, since evidently it works and sounds better.
SO, either I buy a TIG; learn to weld Stainless better with my MIG; or pay someone (ugh) to weld some stuff up.
............ Eventually........... after I build my shop and get a lift....

Any idea if this bit has already been modified or was it like that when he opened the box up because it doesn't match the diagram?

If that is standard, any thoughts on why the two sides are different?

That's how it was when he opened it up, 100% original.

I think the drawing was for a 4.2L, or it could be that the drawing was "simplified" to not give away secrets.

No idea why it's not the same on both sides, but that's how it is, in a 5.0L XKR anyhow...

Default And for the 4.2L ?

Hi, there is a website to look on that or your work on a Jaguar dealer ? Can you check what differences and parts numbers are existing for the 4.2L ? I own one of the 200 XKR-S and I didn't know if the exhaust is different.. the car is more silent than the classic XKR.. or maybe have a problem with the valve block ^^

Default What about the 4.2?

I also got sick and tired of the rotten egg and fuel smell that permeated my clothes after parking the car in the garage so put some high flow cats in place eventually.

It doesn't really do it justice but this is what it sounded like with no-cats:

XKR-S/PAE:

Is this still different on the 4.2L XKR and XK model? I have an 2008 XKR-S (one of 200 for european market) I didn't know if something is different.
