XK-RS - RS-seats lowering
#3
I'm a geezer who has modified many car seats, but my mods have been to raise the seats. This is easy, just takes shims and longer fasteners.
Lowering is more challenging. One thing any DYI car guy can do is cut out the carpeting that the seat tracks rest upon. This should lower the seats a bit. It also looks to me like the rear fasteners can be easily "adjusted" lower.
Next, I would shop around to find an auto hot rod uphostery shop that does custom work. Customizers do play with seat geometry. It may be tricky to retain all the seat movements. There may be other mfgs, like Corvette or Porsche, who have similar seat functions of more compact design.
Suggest you also query the vendors advertising in Jaguar World.

911: When you mention angle of the seat, I assume you are referring to the seat cushion as opposed to the seat back rest. As you know the seat back rest angle is controlled by the OEM seat controls.
The same controls can make your seat cushion virtually "flat", if that is what you want. But I sense you may want to raise the front of the seat cushion. That's easy: The seat is held to the frame by bolts at the front. Remove these bolts and insert shims (use "fender washers" available at most Ace Hdw. stores) to get the desired height. You may have to use longer bolts then, and Ace probably has them. My experience with our local Ace is that it has a huge assortment of fasteners, much more so than Lowes or Home Depot.
