My issue with the quilted mats as in the original post, is that they look like part of the interior and in the poster's pics, look like he did a real nice tight job installing them, that I'd be wanting to put floor mats over those so as not to ruin or get them dirty.
question though, if/when you decided to pull them up, what will the carpet underneath be like? I assume have to be conscious of the climate where the car resides as to dampness, humidity, etc...

They are easy to keep clean. Vacuum and wipe...and u can use leather conditioner if u want to go all out.
As for weather effects, yet to see but if there were to be any dampness issues you are likely to smell them way before the situation gets out of hand.
I have a few sets of OEM and custom mats in my garage from my 2011 175 and 2013 XKR. The mats have less than 800 miles on them and some have never been used. Anyone interested pm me.
That quilted leather pattern with sides has become quite the rage in the last year or two.
Whilst I think those quilted custom mats look nice on a car with plain seats I think it would make mine (supersports with diamond stitched backs and red piping) look like a tarts boudoir and not a nice place to be in. So I'll stick with my jag originals which have no perceptible wear after 50k miles...I do however change them (Oct/March) for rubber mats

That's a nice interior. I still think black with red quilt would complement the look
