XK , XKR , XKR-S mileage
#21
I drove my 2010 XKR from the English south coast to Toddington services en route to a Jag event (drive an F-Type R like you stole it!) - 100 miles - and my computer was showing 29.4 when I pulled in. I was amazed. Only 26.8 on the way back, as I wanted to get home.
Around town, it's in the mid teens, but worth every penny!

Actually it is ETG Tuning. The full name is Ecu Tuning Group; look on the right-side of this page and you may see an ad. If not, go to the marketplace and look them up. They are members of the forum and Jags is the guy who runs and probably owns it. My 12 xk was tuned by Jags about 16 months ago and I am very happy with the result.

Would you be so kind as to specify what tune it was and where or what JAGS is? I cannot find anything via google on an ETS tune for Jaguar. Thank you so much. Can't wait to hear your opinion after a week or two of driving with the new tune. Is that perchance ETG ECU tuning group with Jags Gill?
That is correct. Pretty cool having a LAPTOP MAILED TO YOU, hooking up to your car, connecting wireless, and letting him download and reload the ECU. Most impressive. I'm about 1/2 into the self learn (~105 miles) after the reprogram and car just feels turbine smooth. It may be avery crude analogy but the motor stock felt like your lawnmower (old school here) if you had carb set a bit rich. Now it feels like you gave that needle valve a 1/4 turn leaner . RPMs cleaned up and it just feels smoother. To be honest going from 385HP to 415HP isn't going to be noticed until WAY up in the triple digits of speed, but I an most impressed so far.

ddsski- thank you. Very reassuring to know. Smoother/cleaner running, shift smoothness improving (from what I have been reading) and more HP. What's not to like? Thanks again. I really like the laptop implementation as you describe for reprogramming the ECU.
