XKR 75 Vortex Wheels now available

I was reading on the XKEC boards that one could put vulcans on a non-vulcanized XKR ie plain black pack but there likely would need to be some sort of spacers added. Thats a little much for my pea-sized brain - Im out!!

Spacer Help Needed!
Can anyone tell me how thick the spacers would need to be for the new Vortex wheels to fit on the rear of my 2009 XKR with Alcon brakes? Both new and old wheels have the same diameter, bolt pattern, center bore, and front width and offset, but the rear offset and width are different. The fronts should fit with no spacers, but I'm not sure what size spacer I would need for the rears.
Existing Selena wheels: rear offset +31 and 10.0" wide
New Vortex wheels: rear offset +52 and 10.5" wide
Is it as simple as the difference between 52 and 31, namely 21mm? Or am I missing something due to the 1/2" greater width of the Vortex wheel?
Thanks in advance for your help.

There is a set of Selena wheels on ebay US with the following specs:
--- Front Wheels ---
Diameter: 20"
Width: 8.5"
Bolt Pattern: 5x108
Offset: +49 mm
Finish: Shadow Chrome
--- Rear Wheels ---
Diameter: 20"
Width: 9.5"
Bolt Pattern: 5x108
Offset: +26 mm
Finish: Shadow Chrome
The set of Vortex on ebay UK have the following specs:
Front - 9J x 20" 49 Offset
Rear - 10.5J x 20" 52 Offset
So,on the front, since the Vortex are 1/2" wider and have the same offset, the outer position would EXTEND 6mm out and the inner clearance would be 6mm LESS. This should be no problem and would give you a 6mm wider stance.
On the rear, since the Vortex are 1" wider and have a 26mm difference in offset, the outer position would be RETRACTED by 13mm and the inner clearance would be 39mm LESS.
So if you used 20 mm spacers on the rear you would be effectively changing the offset from 52mm to 32mm. This would result in EXTENDING the outer postion 7mm and the inner clearance would be 19mm less. This should be no problem and would give you a 7mm wider stance in the rear.
As long as they clear the calipers you should be good to go.

The rear OEM Selena wheel is NOT a 10" wide wheel (it's 9.5) and your offset +31 is wrong also, (it's a +26mm).
You can pull the rear wheel and tire and the sizes are stamped inside the wheel, both width and offset.
I have sent you the OEM Selena sizes in previous emails. Jleuz1 has the correct sizes posted above.
I don't suggest using wheel spacers. With the Alcon calipers you may have to replace the lug bolts to a longer bolt when using some wheels other than the OEM Selena on these Alcons. I am sure that this was discussed at length when we were emailing back and forth ref aftermarket wheels.

And will the existing lug nuts work safely with 20mm spacers? Am I right that I'll need hubcentric spacers?
Thanks again.

Here are the 20mm spacers that others have used:
H&R Wheel Spacers For Jaguar Cabrio 2007-up 20mm (4035633)
As you can see they come with their own lug bolts. One member said he didn't have to do anything to bolt them on as the Sentas had an indentation so that he didn't have to modify the bolts. Someone else said he had to shave a bit off of the bolts.
axr6 did this so you might want to PM him.
Because you are going to have an extra 6-7mm clearance from the hub with the wider rims, I would think that they would clear the Alcons but I guess the only way to find out would be to fit them. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Here's a 2008 XKR-S rear that needs some repair http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-x-Jaguar-20-Vortex-REAR-SILVER-Alloy-Wheel-Genuine-XK-XK8-XKR-XKR-S-RS-/161479950159 still not cheap at £213...
So there are actually just three different Vortex wheels for the XKR?
2008 XKR-S 4.2L, Silver sparkle finish
9Jx20" front, ET49, C2P17497
10.5Jx20" rear, ET31, C2P17498
2010 XKR-75 5.0L, diamond turned with dark grey
9Jx20" front, ET49, C2P21957
10.5Jx20" rear, ET52, C2P21958
2014 XKR/S 5.0L option, diamond turned with gloss black
9Jx20" front, ET49, C2P25174
10.5Jx20" rear, ET52, C2P25175
So could you paint one of the diamond turned wheels sparkle silver to match the 2008 XKR-S look?
The spokes seem to be flat on the silver ones...

The 2008 wheels have a slightly more rounded edge on the spokes because they're just painted like the rest of the wheel. The diamond-turned ones have a sharper edge between the fronts & the sides because some of the metal has been cut away.
You could definitely paint the other wheels silver to create the 2008 look - you could either keep or paint the diamond-turned faces. The later fronts would fit a 4.2 XKR (not sure about the Alcon brake option, though), but the rears would need spacers.
