It would be nice to have access to some of the available mods available on the Nissan GT-R on the 5l SC. Such as down pipes and complete exhaust, injectors, fuel pump etc. The GT-R V6 stock with 530hp can go easily to 700 with only light stage 1 mods (nothing internal). I'm sure the 5l V8 SC can easily go over 700 similar external mods and a good ECU tune. Just not enough XKR around to have speed shops develop the mods.

at the same time with so FEW cars and the fact that the trade in value would plummet if a jaguar was modified with loss of warranty...almost every Jag on the street is STOCK. The only non-stock XKR is the stock XKR-S...usually...

I'm not trying to prod... but understand... what are your goals? A stock XKR is at the limits of traction so for street driving 700 hp would make the car slower than stock - unless you're racing people at high three digit speeds or something.

If you're racing and feel like you need that HP then the XK/XKR is a very expensive and heavy platform.
