XKR depreciation rate?
#3
A 2008-2010 with 20" wheels and winter package sold for $120K new in Canada and are now worth ~$55k for '08 and ~$82k for a '10 at retail, and less for owners who traded them in for wholesale. That should give you a good idea that I would expect would hold true for 2011 and 2012 models sold within that period with some warranty left.
I wouldn't think depreciation would change significantly when they change models, but it depends on the new models and their pricing.

Seems very true.... Lucky for me because I was blown away at the prices on 4 year old XK's.... Never even dreamed they would fall within my reach.
That said, I hope the sharp decline levels out now, as they are just too nice a car to maintain that fast a market collapse.

Obviously the XK model is much wiser to buy pre-owned than new.
On the other hand, lots of people buy certain cars because it is the one they want and could care less about depreciation.
Count me in the second group. I plan to keep the XKR I get forever. Don't care about the depreciation numbers.
I do acknowledge that it is wise to be aware though.

I'm in the same group as you. I'm not buying my car as an investment. I'm buying it for the pure enjoyment that it will provide.
