You're certainly not going to miss that coming down the street now are you.

Not my cup of tea but agree with Powerhouse in accenting the wheels.

Ah, that's better, I can see the full effect in those photos. Is the roof staying black? I'm in two minds about that - a black roof is one of those things that says 'sports car', but it kinda looks like the job hasn't been finished. But overall, it looks great, and you're the only guy in the world who has one!

I think the great thing about this is when you don't want it anymore all you need to do is peel it back off unlike a paint job. I had heard in the past that these wraps were good for maybe 5-8 years so has that been improved . I also looked but could not find on their web site what was the price range to get this done. I was given an est. of $7000-$8000 for my old Ferrari 308 so are we talking about the same range. Just curious and don't mean to pry so no need to answer. Great job so have fun.

Harmz,
It looks great! Just one suggestion - consider removing the green wrap from the roof pillars so that the entire roof and trim are black (the original color of your car). A member of the XJ Forum in effect did that to his Polaris White XJL - he wrapped the roof black and dark tinted the glass, and the effect transformed his car. The roof almost disappeared! Here's the link: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...f-wrap-133173/

I love it when someone does something daring to his car just to please himself. I think it looks hot!!! And it has just the right amount of contrast pieces, like the vents, the wheels, and the side skirts. Great choice and certainly an expression of your individuality.

Congratulations!

Thanks all for the positive comments! YES the roof is staying black!

Lol, the wrap costed £1750+VAT and extra for the calipers. and is guaranteed for 5 years.

I don't think the small trim of green around the alloy would look good at all as I have done the calipers too.

It's so funny how many people stop and say something to me when I drive now! I feel like the XKR is getting the appreciation it deserves now !

Next step... Halo light around the Jaguar badge?

Yes front bumper is stock and I told them to do that with the vents but I was a bit unsure on the silver black and green before I saw it,
Then I saw it it all looks mint! ;-)

I don't know whether I would do anything more to the car, it looks awesome buuut...it seems to me to be a prime candidate for "reshaping" the headlights using wrap to the 2012 style, if that is your cuppa.

I've been playing with that concept after looking at the "eyebrow" thread over recent weeks (where there were pics of a "mina" development), I've now rewrapped mine in black to give the 2012 shape which looks pretty good (the pic I posted on that thread was just an experiment) and I'm waiting for some silver wrap to be delivered to see the colour match against the paint. The general idea is to reshape the back of the light with silver to match the car, and have a black outline but it all depends on whether the silver matches the silver of the car.

But with your car being wrapped anyway, you'd have no problem with the colour match, I reckon it'd be an easy job for you.

Tempted? If you are I will let you know what I've done and it could save you a bit of time.
