XKR owners, pull fuse 19!

Yes!
I know this is an old trick, but I just pulled fuse 19 (disabling the active exhaust butterfly valves). The difference is actually very subtle, but it does have a little bit more of a growling sound at lower RPMs, and it's much less of an "on/off" switch with the exhaust than it was before. I went for a test drive on the highway--I was very surprised to see that there is virtually no difference in engine/exhaust noise on the highway (at low loads). Also there is virtually no difference in engine/exhaust noise on startup and at idle, if anyone is worried about that. It truly is the way the car was meant to sound--muscular but still very refined.
How many of you guys have pulled fuse 19, and for those of you with XKRs who haven't, why not?!
Also, while I was back there, I removed the fuse for the "power aerial" since I really hate looking like I'm from 1995 when I'm driving the car with the audio on.

totally agree with the fact it sounds better at low RPM and when down shifting in sport mode.
I chose to fit a remote control for fuse 19 so I can choose when to have noisy and when to have it quiet such as on long motorway journeys.
Easy to do and came with 2 very small remotes, one of which I have mounted in the ashtray and the other in the armrest cubby hole.

This is the one I bought.
Fitted in less than 15 minutes, getting into the back of the car to the fuse box was the hardest lol

I know this is an old thread, but an update to pulling the rear center cover might save somebody from damaging their cover's mounting points. Seems that there are covers with two pins up top, and a sharp pull outward is needed in order to free them up. While trying that this morning, nada, so I began playing with the cover to see whether it moved on one axis or another and.....this version has J-hooks top and bottom. They simply fit over metal rods top and lower, so a simple 1/2" pull UP allows you to pull the cover out. A sharp pull would have broken those top J-hooks.
