XKR-S Seats?
#21
After driving from Detroit to St. Louis yesterday, it's hard to argue the the XK-R seats though. Infinitely adjustable.
OH, and the car just eats miles.

It's the sport nature of the XKR-S seats I like. More aggressive look than the XK-R seats, not rush just a thought.

Am glad your appreciative, exactly the same as fitted in my car!
Here's a couple of pics of mine fitted.
As has been stated they are not cooled/ventilated just heated, but in the UK I've never felt the need to cool my @rse in 38yrs of driving by way of example at the height of our Summer here today it hit 19c/66f
And no they aren't for sale

Superb !
When taking in consideration the rrp of the xk its a shame this interior wasn't a standard item , I've always felt like the standard interior didn't quite live up to my 'Jaguar' expectations.
However regardless someone out there is going to have the rare opportunity to upspec their beautiful Cat !!

The seats were standard in the outgoing Dynamic I did look at a couple with that ivory (?) interior but have found black so much easier to keep looking like new. So a scuff is masked by judicious application of a permenant black marker pen
That notwithstanding, for those 'laundry changing' moments (and you will have some in dynamic/sport even with good rubber) any deposits on the seats are just a wipe away...not so with perforations where you'll be there for hours picking out all the holes of the seat base with a pin

The dealer did have VIN: SAJWA4DC0AMB37571 repaired and sent me very detailed photos of the progress. They even guaranteed the paint repair for my ownership tenure, but wife noted "That car hasn't been loved" and highly encourage me NOT to buy it.

Did a swap. No programming needed for airbags (performance seats vs sport & luxury seats). In my case I needed to swap my original harness - as my US car has different pins for seats vs harness of UK seats I bought (and it was not a problem of RHD vs LHD).
Regarding your racing seats - I believe it's fairly easy to find a proper resistor to have airbag light off.
But I'm still struggling with heated seats vs heated and cooled seats. It's not a plug and play. For now I don't have heating and don't have a clear idea how to have it... Good thing is - it's a summer car. I would be more motivated to fight for cooled seats...

Cooling is not so big. 30-40cm of plastic pipes and a small blower.
Performance seats are definitely thicker (less room behind a seat) and taller.
Frankly - I would bet that they are at pair or performance seats are a little heavier.
Can easily (well, maybe not that easily ) check weight of normal seats as I have them outside. But not planning taking out performance seats now.
