Default XKR-S Spa Retreat

As I continue to chronicle my Jaguar ownership, here’s my girl being dropped off today for her spa retreat.
Feels more like dropped her off at the cosmetic surgeon. Haha!!

Will see how she looks in a few days.

I'm - it comes with the territory.

Part of my joy of ownership is to do whatever wrenching I still can and want to do. That includes washing and detailing. I do it because I still enjoy getting my hands dirty (but not too much). Nothing beats the feeling of accomplishment I get when I'm done and stand back and see the fruits of my efforts.

Don't misunderstand me. If my XKR needed paint correction, I'd pay a pro to do it right because it would turn out better than I could do it.

It's not about saving money; I can afford to pay someone else to do it. It's therapeutic; it keeps me young and it's cheaper than an psychiatrist!

Cheers!

Oh I do enjoy doing stuff that is within my skill set. Paint protection film application and paint correction just isn't one of them.
She's going to get some serious work on the paint in a couple of problem areas. Seems like the previous owner wasn't as meticulous as one should be.
Once she's been restored to an appropriate baseline physically and mechanically, I have no one else to blame for all the owner induced problems I'm bound to have in the future. lol
