I've seen many folks at vintage car shows use similar "one size fits all" eBay mud flaps cut to size and mounted with black binder clips. They, and I, refuse to drill into a panel to mount an aftermarket part with a speed nut, screw, or rivet.

According to them, they stay on while diving.

I had my last 2 XKR's wrapped 12" along the bottom on both sides after noticing damage on the first one. I have another XKR being delivered next week. I hope there is no road rash down the sides. These cars front fenders (wings) curve in to the car on the bottom exposing the front wheels. Mud flaps would not look good, but if one was to use the guards on ebay above and set them out just enough to prevent the kick back from the front tires it should look ok. I might try this myself.

Seriously? Attach them invisibly and securely with double-sided 3M automotive tape. From Amazon:

It is called a sill finisher and the part number is C2P25390 (RH) and 391 (LH).

They are installed using 3 self tapping screws.

Would they fit behind the front wheels? They're probably $100 each?

3M tape would work fine. The vintage crowd are a different breed... 3M tape is frowned upon, and the mud flaps can be removed during judging if binder clips are used. For us, tape is perfectly acceptable.

Like I said, MSRP $2650 each X 2. Don't forget there's two more up front. I'd think if you added up the cost for all of teh GT bits, you'd be better off must buying an actual GT...
