XKR175 exhaust mods

Looks good!
I wonder if the position of the factory x-pipe is the reason that the performance active exhaust retains the muscle car like rumble of the standard system?
When other people have had an x-pipe installed closer to the cars a lot have commented that it has changed the tone of the exhaust note to more of a howl.
Not an expert on exhaust design so not sure if there's any logic in this?

Interesting observation. I'd rather have my car howl like a Ferrari, but I'm happy with my performance exhaust. The Ferrari sound is engineered in the engine design and expressed by the exhaust.

Today was the first time I really got it out on the highway and ...you don't hear anything constant at 70-80mph. when you give it a little gas a little bit and if you go dynamic and give it the groceries, yeah you hear it. Must sound incredible to the cars around it. I think this is about an ideal set up for me. I do think it flows better and idles better so between the K&N air filters (no comments please) and the x pipe and resonator delete, I think it definitely breathes better.
At the end of the day, let's remember, this is a GT car not an F Type. It is glorious in what it does and the BEST overall car I have ever owned and I have had a lot of "equal" price cars. My friends are shocked since I have stated that "I am keeping this one" as I go through cars ever six months or so. After they drive it, they also say "where can you go from here?", unless you want something exotic where the doors open funny and join the small ***** club ha ha .
No, I am almost done getting the Big Cat exactly as I like her and I am going to ride her for a good long time.
