Xkr175 headliner replacement
- The headliner on my new-to-me xkr175 is sagging. It's getting progressively worse by the day. I'm considering doing the fix, myself, with new materials. The original headliner is charcoal alcantara. Are there multiple thicknesses of the foam pad? Different surface finishes? I saw one post that suggested that the headliner was mozine and not alcantara. I guess I'm really just looking for some guidance on what to buy so this can be a "buy once, cry once" type repair.
The current headliner is sagging.

If you don't want your headliner to sag again in the future, don't use a foam backed "suede." It is the foam disintegration that causes headliner sagging, not the failure of the adhesive. The Alcantara or Alston are too thin on their own to be glued to the roof. However, there are other microfibre suedes that are thicker and quite sufficiently thick to be used without the foam back. There are countless posts on the subject. Do a search for this subject on the forum, and you'll see pictures and read many posts on the subject.
